The groovy lines of the Hip Bird House make it more than just a fun piece of yard décor – it makes it a work of folk art. This delightful and incredibly unique bird house is the work of Canadian artist April Gregory who created this bird house out of recycled and repurposed materials. Using primarily vintage hardware (40 to 100 years old), old tin and weathered wood all in their original condition and colour, Gregory manages to employ art into a perfectly sized and complete birdhouse. The wooden house face features a perfectly aligned entry hole and beneath that, an adorable little perch. The unusual roof is made of rust colored embossed tin to create a visually stunning ornament. You can set this bird house atop a flat surface for stability and if need be, you can unscrew the bottom of the bird house to clean the interior and then easily reassemble it. Put this in your yard and get plenty of double takes!
